Reunion Planning

Our Lady of Peace relies on the time and effort of dedicated alumni volunteers for the execution of successful class reunions. Please consider assisting your class reunion planning committee in organizing your next reunion gathering.

Planning a reunion can seem overwhelming! You might wonder how to get started and who can help. Here are some topics for you to consider when thinking about planning your next event:

Type of Event: How many years being celebrate? Will it be a big or small event? Will the event be casual, formal, or somewhere in the middle? Will the event be local or held downtown?

When to hold the Reunion: OLP’s Homecoming Football Game (Alumni are invited to the tailgate before the game), Around the Holidays (Many college-aged alumni will be home visiting family), Choose your own date (based on your preference or a survey from the class)

Budge Considerations: food, drink, music/entertainment, name tags/holders, printing/stationery, photography, favors, decorations, awards, postage, tips/gratuity

How Much to Charge: see budget (it will dictate right amount to charge classmates), keep in mind were your fellow classmates are in their schooling, careers, etc., consider an ‘early bird’ price, consider how much you would pay, be sure to cover your costs

Event Location/Venue: Restaurant or Bar (Emmett’s in Downers Grove, KLM Lodge in Hinsdale, Kerry Piper in Willowbrook, Country House in Lisle, Four Lakes Lodge in Lisle, Carlucci’s in DG, Wheatstack in Woodridge, Bolingbrook Country Club, Hotel Arista in Naperville, Arrowhead in Wheaton), Banquet Hall, Hotel, Our Lady of Peace
