Our Lady of Peace started its football Program in 2001. Our football program has become one of the most respected programs of the Silver Conference winning the conference title at the varsity level in 2004 and in 2005 and tying for the conference title at the JV level in 2006 while 2009 found the JV team in 2nd place after a strong championship game. OLP has had a playoff team (1st or 2nd in conference) at one level for the last 7 years.
However the program was started really to prepare athletes for High School football while teaching discipline, sacrifice, work ethic, courage and teamwork; qualities that will serve our students for life. Our motto is WORK HARD, PLAY HARD and the program is very proud of its players and alumni. Since our inception, OLP has sent dozens of players to play at 6 area high schools: Downers Grove South, Hinsdale South, Montini Academy, Joliet Catholic Academy, Benet Academy and Nazareth Academy. Our players are extremely well received by the high schools. They are considered amongst the best trained and easiest coached players not to mention some exceptional athletes. In 2006, OLP four alumni were captains on their varsity football teams. In 2010 OLP alumni played football for major colleges including Notre Dame. Come be part of a growing tradition and the family of OLP football. Our Lady of Peace has a staff of dedicated coaches who will teach the fundamentals of sound football and football safety while creating a fun — winning atmosphere.
