Student Council
Student Council’s main goal is to serve both the school and community, while promoting student leadership skills and setting good examples for younger students. In the past, OLP has been able to donate to causes such as Haiti Earthquake relief, the Red Cross, Hurricane Katrina victims, shoes to Guatemala and the parish food pantry. Student Council also heads the Giving Tree program at Christmas. Each year, OLP sends at least five council members to the IAJHSC (Illinois Association of Junior High Student Councils) Leadership Camp.

an exciting atmosphere for students to build unique creations, play
games, and have loads of fun using LEGO® bricks. The activities are
designed to trigger young children’s lively imaginations and build their
self- confidence. At Bricks 4 Kidz® we are focused on introducing
children to principles of science, technology, engineering,
architecture, and math. We promote problem solving and higher level
thinking with all of our themed units.
During this 10-week session the students will explore several
different themes and topics including Laws of Motion, Space Exploration,
Energy, Interesting Inventions, Amazing Animals and much more!! Each
week the students will build a different moving model which incorporates
gears, axels, motors, and other LEGO® components. Each model build
relates to the terms and concepts that the students discussed in class
